Hey guys, this website is to document my findings in Outer Wilds, a cool space game about exploration. (Please note: I'm very new to Neocities so it might be bad). WARNING: HEAVY SPOILERS FOR OUTER WILDS. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEATEN THE GAME, GO DO THAT. IM SERIOUS, GO AND FULLY BEAT THE GAME. THEN YOU CAN COME BACK AND READ MY THEORIES. If you never plan on playing it, then you should re-evaluate your life (/j :P)
Anyway, this text is subject to change as I can't be bothered to type out the rest right now. It'll update as I type it out more. Without further ado, here is what I know about Outer Wilds. There will be a drop down menu so that if you haven't played it, you don't end up getting spoilers accidentally.
Here is my current Theory surrounding the Nomai and the Eye of the Universe:
The Nomai, who were in a different galaxy, heard a strange signal from our star system that seemed to be older than the universe itself. They made their journey here on a Vessel, which had three escape pods. The Vessel was ensnared by Dark Bramble, which is a planet taken over by a strange seed. Following this capture of the Vessel, the three escape pods fired. Two got away from Dark Bramble, landing on Brittle Hollow and Ember Twin respectively. The third fell deeper into Dark Bramble. The Nomai on this 3rd escape pod were receiving two separate signals from The Vessel. They decided to follow the signal that was closest, leaving a trail of lights behind them. They found that the signal was coming from a small seed. It was at this point that they figured out about the space warping properties of Dark Bramble. These Nomai ended up dying, due to not having enough fuel to make their way back to the escape pod. The other two escape pods immediately got to work. They were determined to find The Eye of The Universe. Those on Brittle Hollow created The Hanging City, a city on the underside of Brittle Hollow's crust, where they created The Tower of Quantum Knowledge, after discovering a "Wandering Moon" (Later renamed to The Quantum Moon). It was named this since it could commonly be seen orbiting 5 different planets, but was sometimes not there at all, hinting at a 6th location. Meanwhile, the Nomai on Ember Twin founded a city below the surface, away from the scorching heat of the sun, aptly named the "Sunless City". Here they created many structures: The Gravity Cannon and The High Energy Lab to name a few. The High Energy Lab took advantage of the sun on Ember Twin to generate lots of power through the use of solar panels. They used this energy to conduct experiments with black holes and white holes, hoping to create warp cores. The Gravity Cannon was used to launch the Nomai Shuttle, which they used to traverse between the different planets. The Nomai expanded to all of the planets of the star system (Dark Bramble excluded). On Ash Twin (The planet in binary orbit with Ember Twin), they built more of the solar panels to harness the suns energy, as well as many warp stations to go to all other planets and points of interest.
